Lack of updates recently... so what have I been up to?
Company meeting at the Museum of Flight! Had an hour and a half between events, so why not take the opportunity to meander around the museum? I haven't been here since elementary school, very cool stuff.
So many aeroplanes!
My favorite warbird from WWII: the Corsair.
Went to the M's game Friday night for Chinger's birthday, happened to be Ken Griffey Jr. bobblehad night! Not to mention I witnessed the most dynamic display of offense from the Mariner's ever, when they routed the Tigers that night 11-3.
Best picture of Chinger's ever.
The next day I participated in the semiannual Duwamish Alive! river restoration cleanup project. I was tapped to be the photographer of the day, so ended up taking a boatload of pictures instead of doing real work.
Sign to warn incoming drivers of volunteers littering the roadways.
Taming the overgrowing traffic circle.
Planting in the bioswale!
And of course garbage pickup.
That looks safe... taking down a dilapidated fence. Other events of the day included graffiti cleanup, uprooting of invasive plants, sweeping of sidewalks, and getting Mexican food for lunch. This was just one site of many along the Duwamish, with one of the cooler ones being kayakers paddling up and down the river doing their part right next to us.
The next morning my baseball team had our first scrimmage game. Unsure what the score was, but it was a beautiful morning both sunny and slightly chilly. Got some reps in the field, worked on signs, and had two plate appearances. We identified things our team needs to work on before our next scrimmage game in two weeks time.
And why not finish the weekend off with some basketball in the sun? Apparently I look this this when I shoot:
Don't worry, it went in.More pics in my albums!
