Many people know that I'm a fairly big fan of comic books. Due to some shenaniganry this past weekend, a few have discovered that I have a small collection of comic book collectibles. While flashes of Steve Carell's place in 40 Year Old Virgin might be rolling through your mind, rest assured I have nothing like that. Yet. I'm about quality over quantity, and intend to keep a small (but spectacular) medley of goods on hand to be placed later in a home office (and potentially home theater setting). Trying to keep it classy, so to speak. I feel I might as well share with you the newest item I received last week because quite frankly, it's just too damn cool. In 2008, Marvel brought my favorite book and character to the big screen. In an effort to make a modern set of armor seem relatively believable, much research was done to create something that looked like it could work, translated well on screen, and yet stayed true to the source material from which it was based. Born was my favorite armor from Iron Man, the Mark I suit Tony Stark built to escape his captors' cave. My newest high end collectible [read: toy] is captured in plastic, rubber, and cloth by the masters at Hot Toys:
He Lives! He Walks! He Conquers!
Detail in back. The lights work, the flamethrowers don't.Let the name calling begin!
