Hrm...

A few things that have happened in the last few days:
  • In the Incredible Hulk (it was alrite...), there's a part where the Abomination starts tearing up downtown (come on, not really a spoiler -- it's in all the trailers and commercials). General Ross is commanding the troops from his helicopter, and he tells the ground forces through the radio: "OK, we've got to contain it. Try and direct it towards Harlem!" (or something along those lines). I happened to be sitting next to a middle-aged black woman, and when she heard that, she uttered a, "what? ah hell no."
  • Late a few nights ago, I started cleaning some of the bags I had accumulated from visiting home and shopping throughout the day. Guess what I found in one of my bags? A Fillet-o-Fish sandwich from McDonald's! "Jackpot!" I exclaimed, and quickly bit into it as I tried to remember when and where it came from. Luckily for me, it was just earlier in the day. I had bought it, and after finishing my nuggets I must have forgot the fillet was still in my bag as I was driving. I should definitely go about hiding more McDonald's around my place to find at later times -- the food probably won't become inedible for a while.
  • While I have always liked Washington Mutual, my friends Matt and Douglas (in the financial sector) have been telling me about the company's woes. Upon doing some Googling, the bank does indeed seem to be in a little bit of trouble. Because I'm scared for my money, I have decided to close my WaMu account. This pains me, because I've never had a problem at the local WaMu branch. Then I again, I was getting 0% on my checking, so anything above that has got to be better...
  • My friend Vanessa's now annual Daddy Daugher Dash fundraiser was this morning. Trying to become a Father's Day tradition, it encourages fathers and daughters to complete the 5K course together. I should have pimped it out earlier here, but keep this in mind for Father's Day next year. For the second year in a row I was the official timekeeper for the event. Unfortunately, I messed the whole thing up -- the printer on the time thing wasn't on and the times all got erased before we knew what was happening. Hopefully no one really cared for their official course times... But while I failed at that job, luckily I had a secondary job of cash manager and was able to not lose any money throughout the day.
  • Second baseball game tonight, and as it is Father's Day, I'm assuming we'll have more than our usual crowd of three fans as I'm assuming people will want to come and watch their father's play. I think we have four or five fathers on our team, and the weather is definitely nice right now. Too bad the real Mariners aren't doing so hott...
