I've just received word via an e-mail that the Old Country Buffet in Shoreline has closed. It's a sad day around here, as there were no warning signs of something like this happening; I didn't even have a chance to say goodbye. Unlike the next closest OCB in Factoria, the franchise in Shoreline had an extensive dessert area right in front of a mini-dessert kitchen. This mini-kitchen was manned by a staff member who made sure that there was always enough cornbread or carrot cake in the trays. The e-mail that broke this news to me was actually an official OCB newsletter. It states: "We've closed the Old Country Buffet at Shoreline, but the good news is that you can still find all your favorites at a nearby..." I'm sorry too OCB, I'm sorry too.
