Continuing my trend of posts about things ending, Friday was the last day of my internship at Seattle Public Utilities. I spent most of the day out in the field inspecting catch basin locations, which means that it wasn't the worst way to end it. Having spent over a year there, it was kind of sad to leave. I have applied for a job there and we'll see how that goes -- the hiring process takes very long. I made the cut for the first interview, and think I performed alright there and am now waiting to hear back. Until then, that means vacation!
After five years of college complete with summer classes andworking on and off, it's nice to finally sit back and relax without any obligations hanging over me. No classes to look for later this month, no work to go to next week. That said, if I don't hear back from the City soon I'm going to start tossing out resumes to anyone in a GIS related field that will take one. Until then though, it's going to be complete freedom. FREEDOM!
