Job Hunt Begins... Kinda!

Having heard back from the City a few weeks back and informed that they went with someone else, I have started searching for other venues of employment. I haven't gone all out with my search, as the jobs I have uncovered thus far don't seem to be better than what I would have been doing at the City.

Not all hope is lost -- there are still two positions that are currently awaiting to be approved by the City Council. I think the biggest obstacle right now for that happening is the current state of the economy. Hell, King County is $90 million over budget, and they have to find ways to make that all up before the fiscal year has ended -- but I don't think that's the case with the City. If the positions get passed, I hope I am at the top of the list and will be invited to fill one of them. If not, then hopefully I will have interviews lined up at that point (or heck, even offers) so I can begin my career as a young professional.

But until then, I am going to continue to take it easy and enjoy my free time. Already I know I am eating better and exercising more -- I can feel the power coursing through my body! I'll be sporting that eight-pack in no time.
